Even better than the "bong" pot would be a "scrubber".
Just set up a sprinkler head affair for the dust laden
air to pass through. As simple as a piece of duct with
a garden spray head spraying into it. A cheapo plastic
one would be better than a nice brass one. If you want
to use less water, a recovery bucket and recirculating
pump will do the trick. If you want to scrub paint
fumes, a little bit of bleach [10% or less by volume]
in the mix will finish the job nicely. Tricks I
developed making fancy, expensive high tech scrubbers
for the electronics industry. Mostly just fancy and
expensive versions of the above stuff.
