Bill:

You have fuel percolation in the carb float bowls.  Fit a heat shield
between the carbs and exhaust manifold so heat rising from the exhaust
manifold doesn't heat the carbs as fast.  Also check to make sure you
have a heat insulator block between the carbs and intake manifold.

As others have said, modern fuels have a lower vapor pressure point to
reduce fuel emissions which exacerbates the problem.

I thought all MGBs had fuel pumps at the tank.  As such they don't have
vapor lock.  Vapor lock was when fuel in the fuel pump (engine mounted)
would vaporize before it got to the pump.  It was like running out of
gas.  The cure was to pour water on the fuel pump.
