Generally anything described as "foundryman's boots" will protect you.  Be sure
to keep your jeans on the outside.  I dropped something in my shoe whilst 
torching
up a SAAB outside my buddy's house one day.  Ripped off my shoe, ran into the
house and stuck my foot in the toilet.
