Hey Guys,
Looking for input on the best way to inspect for cracks in a cast
aluminum part.
The transaxle in my car developed one (known problem with this model)
and I'm trying to determine its extent, and if it's
repairable. There's a visible hairline at one edge, but I think it's
more extensive than what I can see.
I'm familiar with MagnaFlux, but doesn't that only work on ferrous
metals? Are there any dyes or other tricks you can suggest?
Thanks,
Wayne
