Eric,
Depending on the quantity of each size bolt/nut you have to store, you
may be able to find a large quantity of cardboard boxes, or plastic bins
that you can put in a set of drawers. For small screws and nuts (Under
4" long)
I have an old punch card storage cabinet that I filled with 3"x3"x5"
cardboard boxes. When I fill up a box, I hot glue one of the bolts/nuts
to the top of the box so I can quickly find what I am looking for later.
I also write a description of the hardware on the box. I also mark on
the box how many are in it and update the quantity when it changes.
