I meen the replace ment was a rubber one. The original plastic ones are
hard from new, I have a new one. They are very thin walled hard plastic
with rubber bit's on the end, 3/16" accross. The rubber one I replaced
it with had the same internal diameter, but was 4/8" accross. The
plastic ones are much harder to pinch of, and they don't desolve in the
oil and petrol vapor like the rubber ones(unless you use silicone
rubber).

Because they are much smaller you don't get it confused with the
multitude of other lines going about the engin bay, they also look more
tidy. They also have a 90 deg joint on one end, which helps the
routing.
