As my Spitfire is about to come out of hibernation for the Spring, (just got
a replacement right-side hood hinge from Motorhead so I can pass
inspection), I'm considering appearance-related things.
Last fall, a resprayed the rubber bumper covers black... I think they came
out well. However, the green paint on the car is sprayed over cracked?
chipped? brushed? paint beneath it. I'm not ready to tackle serious cosmetic
work to put my paint on par with Nigel's :) so I was thinking... flat paint
doesn't show imperfections nearly as much... but flat paint is ugly... but
there was one advertisement with a Spitfire in camouflage that would
definitely suit in flat paint! (to look like the planes) What do you guys
think? Good idea? Unique appearance? or not so good?

Also, anybody know where I might be able to get the roundels as transfers
rather than painting them on? If I can get them, this could be a pretty
quick weekend project!
