We are doing a test day at Road Atlanta on March 2,1999. We have a slot for
one more story. I suggested to my editor that we do a Spitfire versus Midget
(and even cooler if we could get a Honda S800 too) type story. He sheepishly
admitted that their is no better story to read than one involving Spitfires.
Here's the deal. All day at Road Atlanta for free, autocross and track use. I
need to have a decent modified street car and or racing Spitfire. Car needs to
be safe and trackworthy. We are not racing, but touring on the track 70-90
mph.
I also really need to find a Midget or Sprite or two in like condition.
You need to be there all day, your attitude needs to be as shiny as your car
and you need to not have a cow if one of our staff needs to drive your car for
a comparison story. Naturally, you will become beyond famous when you car
appears in Grassroots Motorsports and you will meet the staff and we'll buy
you lunch.
