ok, last night i removed the dash top panel and found that riumph
really did a cost saving cut here. the main frame of the dash top
panel is pressed steel with no protection on it at all, just bare
metal! and since it was installed like that, it is now almost all
rust and no steel. so, does anyone have or know where i can get one
of these? it will probably have to be second hand, but it really
doesn't matter as long as it's in good shape.
