I've been watching this thread and had to chime in. From what I've been watching
in the news, Rover is now in the middle of a sale by BMW and at last glance,
this is where things were going: Rover cars sold to "Alchemy Group" a group
of investors who will be renaming the company to "MG Car Company". However,
the British Govt aren't real happy about this and are looking to get a different
buyer for Rover. The Mini, however, will remain with BMW and sold by them (rumor
has it US will be 2002). To complicate this more, Land Rover has now been sold
to Ford and so all those models (Land Rover, Range Rover etc.) will now be
produced
by them. Things are still changing and I'm still watching it, so I'll keep the
list posted if there is interest.
