I'd be *very* cautious about trying to tweak caster by using uneven numbers of 
shims
mounting the lower control arm.  That's a dandy way to break a trunion.  The
unparallel arcs that would result in the upper and lower control arms travel 
would
cause bind in the trunion, encouraging the heck out of it to fail.  That's why
trunions were replaced by ball joints.
