Growing up in Pittsburgh, PA, we always had at least
snow tires on (some poeple had studs-remember those?),
and chains in the trunk.  Life also moved at a slower
pace, people were not in such a hurry and there were
fewer accidents.  Teenagers also had to EARN the right
to borrow the family car, and there were fewer
youngsters on the road.  Times have changed since
then, not all for the better.
