You may have mis-read me. I meant to say that radios on the MkIV and
1500 were dealer installed. Not the earlier ones.

Doug, very true most radios were dealer installed items, "BUT", factory
installed radios go all the way back to T/R 2, so not all radios are dealer
installed, the factory even installed electric antennas on early T/R 3's on
the "rear" fenders, the radios were "Radiomobiles" which was a subsidary of
"RCA".  "FT"
