Should work fine..

you need to start it off with a hammer and centre punch, then a small drill
bit, and enlarge from that..

Do you have a vice and some sockets?
You can push them out with that...

Changed mine (and you are right, bloody pricey. However I couldn't get mine
off in one piece, so no choice!)

I think this is very worthwhile. Mine looked 30 years old and had the
consistance of road tar...
