On Daffy ('78 1500) there is a solid pipe, that goes from the cylinder
itself, down round the outside of the drum backplate, so it goes in a 'U'
shape, terminating at the back of the backplate and pointing upwards. At
this point it connects to the flexible pipe, and is held in place by the
flexible pipe locking into a little bracket.
