You may want to read this web page about Gt6 thrust washers.  If what the
person writes is accurate, you very well may want to purchase one of these
through him.  

This could save you quite a bit of money, since I believe he can make one
as thick as you need to compensate for a worn crank.

Those lifters, if they aren't worn concave, are probably not the original
lifters.  John mentioned their being poor quality replacements on the market,
I'd suspected damage from sitting,  But in either case, they may not have
been re-used.

Well I talked to the mechanic today after delivering a spare engine I
bought from Ted Schumaker.  The mechanic said the block was OK, but
the thrust flange on the crank was worn too far to reuse.  The rear
bearing cap can be welded up and reused.  The only other problem noted
was that the valve lifters were pitted (evidently not replaced as the
previous owner had indicated).   All other parts did appear new and in
good condition.  I'll have the replacement crank balanced and
polished, and should be back in the car in a couple of weeks.
