Or perhaps that could give me the results I want (lower and not 
harsher). So the question is, what is the downside of compressing a 
spring more than was intended by using the Spitfire spring in a GT6?

I haven't been able to find any data that shows fitted length when 
browsing the various catalogs. In fact the Rimmer pages on uprated 
suspension packages give no data at all.

It looks like shorting the springs meant for my car might be the best 
way to go.
