Actually, 175-70s are closer to the same rolling diameter as
the 155s. About 1 mm between the 175-70s and the 155-80s.
Whereas the 165-70s are about 8 mm smaller.

Nominal tire diameters:

155-70R13 = 289.1 mm
165-70R13 = 281.1 mm
175-70R13 = 288.1 mm

I have been running 175-70s on my Spit since, well, probably
before you were born. Yes, there is a little rub on the bulkhead,
but not enough to worry about. (only for the two or three times
you use full lock when turning).

If you have the same tyres as me, then smaller tyres...

Just in case any listers are unsure what the numbers mean:

165 - thats the width
80 - thats the height (based on a ratio to the tyre width)


So, 165-70's are the same diameter as 155-80's

So they match stock better..
