For several years now I've heard reference to engine modifications in
stages, such as "Stage II Heads" etc. I gather that a higher number means a
higher performance part and bigger bucks. Beyond that, what does it mean?
Is there a specific meaning for a Stage I vs, Stage 2, etc.?
OK, reason for inquiry is that I was surfing and came across

where they reference "Stage 4 Heads".
Inquiring minds want to know.
