Well, that's kinda yes and no.  One like yours will work.  But the
generic cast units with the two fingered claws will not.  This one for
example will not fit.

 This type hits the shock and gouges it deeply.  They also have problems
closing enough because of how far away from the perches you have to be
to get the fat fingers in there.  And then there's the way the generic
ones get crossed up as you compress the spring.  
 
Where did you get yours btw?

doesn't fit either.  I've got one and tried it.  It fouls the shock as
well.
