I have the cobra roadster seats (bought from mini mania) in my '69.
They are small, only coming up to my shoulderblades in back, and
narrow. I have a full handwidth on either side of the seat in the car.
The only reason I didn't go with the classics is that I was told they
are harder to get in and out of and would become annoying when running
errands around town. The seats I have are definitely small, but very
comfortable. I have heard of someone putting in JC Whitney lowback
bucket seats and being very happy with them at only $40-$80 each
depending on whether you buy the upholstered slipovers. These seats
are similar to the ones people use in dirt track and dragracing. You
could find one in your local drag racing shop to look at the size znd
feel but it will probably be a highback version on display (bottom feels
the same). You'll want to find an extra thickness of foam for the
bottom if your rear is bony as mine, though (slips right under the
optional padded slipover).

Just some ideas...

Shawn

PS JC Whitney also sells the three-point static seatbelts at $30 a side.
