Sounds familiar,

I bought my 69 Midget about 5 years ago. I drove it home and parked it to
work on it. 3 years later I finally put an engine in it, a year later the
5 speed, and I just had a new diff put into it yesterday. It still needs
suspension work, and paint...I just keep plugging, even when I had to let
it sit for a few years.
