Now there's an expression I haven't heard for a long time. "Sod off ya daft 
git" Ah it brings back memories.

The rise in the frame rails gives a similar rise to the lower A-arm mounting
points, giving anti-dive to the front suspension. also it gives a little
castor angle as well, given the design of the lower trunnion.  That's why
the angle is there, anyway.  I was lucky - when I noticed this and got all
concerned, my buddy the bodyman happened to be a Brit who had worked on far
more LBC's than he really cared to, hence was an expert who
said,(paraphrasing) "sod off, ya daft git, it's supposed to be that way".
