Dave,

I went out and measured the frame rails on my 69 Sprite body (which happens to
be sitting on its side in my garage right now). The rails rise about three
quarters (3/4) of an inch at the front from where they would be if they were
straight and parallel with the bottom of the car.

I too almost straightened them. I didn't see the creasing in the other parts
of the front frame structure that would have had to accompany such bending-and
then I checked my other two ongoing Sprite/Midget projects and they all had the
upward sweep of the rails (though I haven't measured to determine if they are
all exactly the same). I decided it must be intentional.

Frank regarding the front rails do you know how much they rise from the
horizontal. I thought mine was bent too, maybe it isn't? Sure glad I read this
before I went off to the body shop to get it straightened.
