Yes whoever designed that should have put more thought into it.
And since you have it out of the car, weld the nuts to the pedal box so
the next time you have to pull one of the masters it will be much
easier.
This is something the engineer should have speced out when it was
originally designed. (of course he probably never had to pull a master
cylinder on a Midget)
