X1/9 PRO:
Unbelievable roadholding coupled with great feedback and easy to control
handling past the limit of adhesion.
Extremely stiff chassis.
1300 has super short stroke for high revs.
With a K&N it plays great Weber music right behind your head.
A little more of a real car than a Spridget.
Comfortable ride.
Early cars need only 5.5x13" rims with 185/60s and more power to be a
killer sportscar. Every thing else on the car (suspension, brakes,
transmission etc) is great and doesn't need improvement.
Fiat crowd almost as great as Spridget list crowd.
15sec top on/off.
Two good sized trunks.

X1/9 CON:
A little too heavy.
Engine underpowered.
Gutless off the line.
Later models watered down and even heavier.
Not as nimble as Spridget.
Complicated unibody structure with lots of cavities for rust to start -
hard to restore.
Women don't like angular wedge-shaped cars, they prefer rounded with
chrome :)
Parts situation not as good as for a Spridget but also cheap.
Almost impossible to find rustfree early cars.
70's plastic interior, most in shades of brown (yuk)

                                              '67 Sprite '74 X1/9
BTW: The '74 is the Bugeye of the X1/9s...:)
