Ric,
    It sounds like your rear brake hose has gone bad, and is not letting 
fluid return to the master cylinder. Try opening up one of the bleeeders when 
this occurs and if fluid comes squirting out, it means it was under pressure. 
There is a restriction in the brake line that you will have to find. Probably 
the rubber hose that goes from the frame to the axle but it could also be a 
crimped brake line.
