A few people have fitted these to Spridgets in the UK. You don't really get
decent horsepower without a lot of work and when you do get decent horsepower
you can break everything from the clutch back. Decent doesn't stop at 150bhp
either.
The price he paid seems reasonable but the turbo may need re-building. The
cylinder head casting is different but the standard earlier casting will
probably do. He will need two fuel pumps and a lot of other stuff to. There
is a guy who very occasionally answers questions on the MG BBS who has a
turbo Spridget. There is also a lot of turbo discusssion also on the MG BBS
under Modified Metro, Montego, Maestro.
