Well, it's not a Spitfire Engine.  Originally.  It is definitely Triumph.
Spit 1500 Engines (1493cc) all started with a FM designation.

The "UCE" suffix means it was a California engine with all the wonderful
Smog junk!

Let's see, I'll check my triumph info, hang on......

... couldn't find anything with an "FP"  sure about the "P"?

If so, I'll keep looking.

Can anyone ID this engine:
FP60180UCE

I think it may be a '76 Triumph Spitfire 1500 engine.

I can find the info to figure out the A series engines from their S/N, but
not the Tri*mph/Midget 1500 engine.
