Does your friend's car have a Weber or is it running SUs?

My understanding is that SUs are much better at coping with altitude
changes. I once ran a rally in my bugeye that took us to the top of fall's
Creek (snow resort here but that is only about 5500 - 6000 ft so it is
pretty
marginal for snow!).

I used a HIF6 carb on that event and had no problems
at all. From what I remember, a few folk using Webers reported rough running

Mike
