Andy,
    That sounds like what I have. I have a 1 3/4"  3-1 header with a 1 3/4"
pipe going to a 1 3/4" ID glasspack. It's loud. I recently took a sound
meter for a ride and recorded 120db at full tilt. Cruising at 60 MPH or
below is not too bad. From about 65 on it really starts to annoy after a few
miles.

With that said, It really sounds great going up through the gears.
