I can agree with that logic and with that said I still feel uncomfortable with
the proliferation of handguns and semi-automatic weapons all around us.

Well Fred, if that's true, then your story about the shooting of the wrong
person by the maniac must be false...sorry, can't have it both ways. Either
it could happen and did, and the officer had every right to be prepared for
it, or it couldn't happen, and never did, and never will, so what the hey?
