Right side footwell floor, just in front or the frame member, and right
hand shock tower rearward of the shock itself. Both locations have the
chassis number.

I'm not sure what year the practce started, but I know that at least '68
and onward has them in both places.

The number about which you ask is probably the body number from the factory
that assembled them. They are not used for tracking by BMIHT.
