Mike,
I did my entire Bugeye interior with Corroless... supposed to be very good
stuff. I've you want sound deadening and further water protection, use the
spray on rubberized coatings from 3M, Marhyde of Evercoat. You could use
the non-rubberized but you need to leave more time for them to dry and set
up. I think they are more susceptable to heat too. If you want to go the
cheap and messy route, you can use roofing cement (tar), but I prefer the
spray on approach. After that, if you wnat more sound deadening, there are
thin undercarpet matting you can get from carpet stores. It is quite
inexpensive and made of synthetic fibers so they are less likely to rot if
they get wet. The other choice is the foil backed sound/heat insulation
stuff, but it's pricy.
