Thanks for the input, putting the bottom spring in woks easiest that way. My
problem is the top spring, It's extra tail is definitely for something, and
the logical purpose would be to support or hold the handbrake actuator
(which otherwise is just sitting between the brake shoes.) I don't know
whether the spring got bent taking it out (if so, both springs got bent or
twisted identically) but there seems to be no way to get it through both
parts (shoe and actuator).
Any ideas or know anyone on the list who could help?
