Sounds like one of your gear cases is mounted 180 degrees out. If you can
see (or feel) up under the cowl, check for the cable housing on each gear
box. It should be on the same side on each box. If one is on the top and one
is on the bottom, turn one around! When you reach up uner the cowl, the gear
cable housing should be at the bottom of the gearbox, not up closer to the
inside of the cowl.
