Big agreement here! You can buy loads (tons?) of great
PCs in the 900-1500 Mhz (Megacycle?) range USED
with name-brand motherboards, standard processors,
and name-brand accessory boards for les than $400.
These will last you for years. Unless you run the latest
in graphics-heavy gaming software, these will be more than
fast enough, too. You wanna see some, you say? Check
out the triangle-forsale newsgroup. They come up every week.

Any PC that uses "proprietary" mother boards and BIOS
code, and onboard sound and video, can be a royal pain
to maintain!
