Bev,
undoubtedly it was the inherent fault of the wheel covers. The rotation of
the fake spokes sets up a electrostatic charge that is projected and focused
inwards torward the car by the "pie pan" convex backing affixed to the hub
cab/wheel covers. The frequency of this interferes with the pulsations of
the blinkers or will even set a charge up in cat fur like pilot bobs cat. i
would recommend either switching to a diffrent radio station such as heavey
metal to dampen and reverse the sine wave frequency set up by your fake
hubcaps or charge a cat with negative ions and set him on the transmission
hump before driving next time. either that or change the blinker fluid.  =)
