Take the NJ Turnpike to GWB, BUT DON"T GET ON THE GWB. THe last exit is the
Palisades Parkway. Take the Palisades to the top, go over the Bear Mountain
Bridge, and take 9 North (kinda local but 60-65 MPH is usual speed) to 84 East.
OR take the Garden State to 287 East/684 North and go that route. That route's
fine as well. Personally, I enjoy driving on the Palidades. It'll probably
take little longer, though (20 minutes or so).
Another option is take the Turnpike to the GWB, go over the GWB, take the Henry
Hudson Parkway North to the Saw Mill River Parkway to 287 East. That's a nice
drive too. Just as quick as the GSB (probably faster) if you don't hit
traffic. What time are you expecting to hit the area?
