I have to drive 6miles to work, and there are 20 traffic lights, none of
which are syncro. Often I drive from one red light to the other, I've been
doing this for 24 years. When I had a dodge omni I once counted 121 shifts
(up and down) to get to work. A clutch lasted 2 to 3 years, maybe 35,000
miles. That's why current daily driver is automatic.
