I need to remove the crank shaft from a 1500 engine that is out of the
car. I don't have a socket big enough to go on the crank nut (what
size is that anyway). It looked like the nut was taken off by a cold
chisel once so I gave that a try. I only succeeded in moving the
pistons up and down.
The question is can I get the crank out with that nut still attached?
I want to check the crank and see if it is in good shape. Once it is
out how would you get the nut off?
