I far prefer to take my chances with either, rather than the USPS. They are
always pushing Priority Mail, which is contracted out to whatever trucking
company happens to be heading in the proper direction. The only time the PO
handles the package is when they receive it and actually deliver it.Our priority
mail usually arrives looking like it was drug behind the truck. How can they
deliver a wet package in the middle of a drought? Our UPS driver is great. We
received a damaged package once, and he came to the door and told us to refuse
it. We have one mail carrier who just tosses the mail in the general direction
of
the mail box and drives down the road. She quite often does not bother to take
outgoing mail even with the flag up. I really wish that UPS would get the mail
contract! I am sure that it would no longer take 18 days for a 1st class letter
to go 200 miles.
