Bob,

I don't know where you got your information from, but it bears no
resemblance to the truth. The "hidden numbers" as you out it are the SAME
as the chassis number. There are no hidden numbers on Bugeyes as this
practuce started sometime later. The body numbers have no bearing on
chassis numbers and are normally found to be several hundred numbers apart,
as are the cosemess of engine numbers, but that can vary widely. The
numbers that are stamped on the body are found on the right hand floorboard
just forward of the frame crossmember, and at the rear edge of the right
hand shock mounting  plate. Except for the right and door plate, the other
body nembers are not even recorded.
