Any effort to legislate what American citizens can choose to drive is a very
dangerous situation.

Out here in the chicken prairie states, I've driven SUV's long before they
were given that name, as I often have to be places no matter what the
weather holds. Of course, there are tons of SUV's bought purely for status,
with the aftermarket "bull bars" only likely to encounter the occasional
errant shopping cart.

There's a new anti SUV ad getting a lot of attention. It equates SUV
ownership with supporting terrorism. apprently they're drawing an extremely
dotted line between fuel usage and Muslin extremists.

the funny thing is, Aryanna Huffington, the woman behind it, flies private
jets all the time. Norman lear, the Hollywood producer ( Alli in the family)
is the money behind the ad... and he lives in a 14,000 square foot home,
with a 22 car garage. A great example of limousine liberalism.
