Removed the bell, piston and needle/s to check for
overpressure leaks. With the ign. switch on and fuel
pump running, no leaks. So far so good.

As I attempt to bring up the mixture nuts to fully
lean, which I am to understand means that the brass
jets will be level at the top of the "bridge", I find
that one seems to be sticky. When I pull down on the
idle adjustment nuts they move down cleanly, but when
I release them the back one moves to be level with the
top of the bridge, but the front one moves up to
approx. 1/16 inch of level and requires a nudge at the
bottom of the adjusting mechanism to come to level at
top.

Is there a way to remedy this? Seems like both should
move easily into the fully closed position, otherwise
low speed would be way rich, right? What returns it is
spring tension, it appears. Need new return spring? or
is this a factor of sloppy/worn linkeage?

Then on to the next step.

TIA, bill b. '69 Sprite 1275
