The old and extremely experienced mechanic/guru whom I listen to uses the
rubberized undercoating on weld seams and floorboards and swears by its
efffectiveness. He has dismantled hundreds of cars over the decades and said
the floors that had been rubberized undercoated had fewer rust-throughs than
those that did not.
