Let me second that opinion! I bought four rebuilt shox from Peter last year,
and just got around to having them installed. You cannot believe the
difference they make. I can't believe the tube shocks would be much if any
better. The cost from Peter was considerably less than converting to tubes,
and much less hassle.

I truly believe that most reports of "great tube shock conversion" are
comparing the tubes to worn out levers, not new ones.

When I had the shox installed I also had an aluminum valve cover installed,
valves adjusted, new MC and slave for the clutch installed, speedo cable
installed, and tach changed out for a new/used one, and the carbs tuned. Best
$400 I've ever spent!

The speedo works, the clutch works great, the engine has some "oomph" it never
had, and the ride is vastly improved. I drive it every weekend now, and often
to work on Friday. I'm in love again. Now for cosmetics!

wow...I can't believe I actually said something about my LBC!

I just never have the time to do my own work, so no comments about my check
book restoration.
