Hello Phil,

the biggest advantage to the conversion kit that Paul A. offers
over rivergates's is that paul's uses a standard datsun clutch,
which means that you will be able to find a replacement years
from now. rivergate's uses their own, which mean that if they
go out of business, you're out of luck. forever. another point
is that (as i understand it) the ribcase (and smoothcase?)
transmissions shift lever is slightly offset from center, while
the datsuns's comes up in the middle. with the rivergate kit,
this means that you have to modify the transmission tunnel, or
at least the shift gate, while Paul's kit has an "offset"
shifter, so NO mod's are needed. important if someone ever
       wants to go back.......

also paul offers an angle drive gear for the speedo (with
proper ratio's) so that your speedo will still be accurate.

(i'm waiting for a chance for paul to put one in my '66 right
       now!!!!! hopefully next month!!!!!!!!)
