       gee, i wonder why a 35 year old car would have only 30k
       original miles?   they don't make 'em like that anymore and
       there's a REASON! LOTUSes are GREAT, nothing at all even close
       WHEN THEY ARE RUNNING! but all are fragile, and expensive to
       repair! ............

       to paraphrase chapman... .. the perfect race car should cross
       the finish line in first place, and then disentigrate. anything
       more to the car and it is overbuilt, anything less, and it wouldn't
       finish the race.

       and his street cars where only a way to help finance his racing
       jones. ...
