They like to say that for chassis design, he'd weld a
bunch of aluminum tubes together, then remove tubes
one at a time until the car would collapse. Then he'd
put one back.
Elans are gorgeous (to my eye), very, very fast, and
on my short list of cars I must own before I go to the
scrapyard in the sky.
